The ICSSAR team received a letter of appreciation from Iron County’s Commissioner, Paul Cozzens.

As Chair of the Iron County Commission this year, I speak on behalf of all of us in expressing our gratitude for your service! Over 25 years ago, a group of friends and I started a hike down the Paria River to Lee’s Ferry. One of our hikers fell over 75′ into a slot canyon and sustained severe injuries. Kane County SAR responded and, after many hours with repelling equipment, extracted our friend who would have perished had they not responded in time. I often think of this experience and reflect on how grateful we were for the sacrifice of folks like you that day. Again, please know of our gratitude and the comfort you give our Iron County Residents, knowing that in an emergency, we can count on you!

Thank you Commissioner Cozzens! We appreciate your support and kind words.
