The ICSSAR Team held our annual winter training. Shout out to the Utah Department of Transportation for allowing us to stage at the UDOT Shed at SR14 and 148. A couple of members went up Friday night to pre-stage and take advantage of extra snowmobile training time. The training was held from 9am until 4pm with lunch provided. The morning session was predominantly spent on Snowcat and Can AM training. The afternoon session focused on snow rescues using a controlled scenario with an injured snowmobiler as well as map and compass orientation training. The ICSSAR Team is a very family orientated group. Our annual winter training is also an opportunity to get our families involved in the organization, many of which assist with the training as our injured parties.
