During our ICSSAR Monday evening meeting, we received our required CPR Recertification training. A huge thank you to the Iron County Sheriffs Office and SUU Nursing Program for putting this recertification together for our team. We had 36 volunteers in attendance for the recertification.
NOTE: There is an app you can download on your phone that will use your location to help you locate the nearest AED in the event of a cardiac emergency. The app is called “PulsePoint AED”. Say you are out and about running personal errands and hear that someone is having a cardiac emergency every minute is critical. While bystanders are calling 911 and performing CPR, send another bystander to locate the nearest AED. Having the app pre-downloaded can be the difference the patient needed.
