On March 1, 2025 at approx. 11:45 am., SAR was called to assist a female who had fallen and sustained a possible broken ankle on the Thunderbird Gardens Trail. SAR members were able to deploy quickly to the scene and help medical personnel get the injury stabilized. She was then loaded into a Stokes Basket and transported out of the area.
Search and Rescue responded with 17 members, Iron County Sheriff’s Deputies and Officers from Cedar City PD as well as medical personnel.
We wish the patient a speedy recovery and thank all who were involved in getting them out quickly and efficiently.
