The Iron County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue (ICSSAR) Snow Team got together for a team training. The training began at our SAR Bldg in Cedar City.  The team reviewed the avalanche warning levels and they did an overview of the various avalanche gear.  This included the probing stick and inflatable systems.  They also discussed the charging requirements for avalanche beacons.  Once the safety briefing concluded, the team headed into the high country for some team riding.  Getting out to ride together helps to keep the teams’ skills fresh. They were also able to see the conditions firsthand by going out on the trails.
