Members of the ICSSAR attended the annual Iron County Sheriff’s Open House last weekend.  It’s a wonderful opportunity for various local agencies to come together with the community.  Not only is this a great opportunity for the community to become better informed about their local agencies but it’s also a great networking opportunity for the agency members to get to know one another.  There were representatives from all local Police Departments (Cedar City, Enoch, Parowan), representatives from the Sheriff’s Office to include members of the SWAT team, County Corrections, Animal Control and Volunteer Posse.  We also had representatives from the Bureau of Land Management, Utah Highway Patrol and the Forest Service.

The event included 2 helicopters coming in for landings.  That includes Utah AirMed and the County’s helicopter.

The ICSSAR brought two of our trucks and our CanAm with the tracks and the Snowcat.  We also handed out candy and our 2023 ICSSAR calendars. In total we had 6 ICSSAR volunteers at our booth with an additional 2 ICSSAR Ropes Team Members doing demonstrations.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support this fantastic annual event!
