New volunteer solicitation
The ICSSAR Ropes Team is seeking new volunteers. The Ropes Team is a unique and challenging experience. The Ropes Team is activated for rescues in terrain where it would be difficult for the team to access by hiking, therefore, the team is activated to repel members into the area to provide aid and assist with safely extricating the individual from the area.
Interested volunteers should have prior climbing and rappelling experience. First aid is not required, but preferred.
Volunteers must be prepared to commit to attending two team meetings a moth that occur on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 630pm and be available for call outs.
If you’re interested in joining the Ropes Team or learning more, please plan to attend the next team meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 630pm at the Iron County Sheriff’s office.
